Young players hoping to join America’s leading supplementary coaching program will now only have TWO opportunities to qualify each year.
NCE Soccer will host tryouts for Spring and Summer in April with the second set of tryouts in September ahead of the Fall and Winter Programming.
Players selected at tryouts will have access to a range of NCE Soccer Programming, including the US leading Center of Excellence and College ID Programs.
The Spring/Summer tryouts will also be the only way for players to access NCE Soccer’s hugely successful Summer programming, including our 2022 Residential Camps, Showcase Tournament and remaining places on Summer International trips.
NCE Soccer Technical Director John Curtis, said: “We want to streamline the experience for our players and their families and raise the standards of NCE Soccer players.
Spring and Summer Tryouts
“We want players to commit to the program as a whole, training throughout the Spring and Summer so that we get more time to work with and properly assess the players.
“It is crucial for our efforts to raise standards and we believe will benefit both individual players, but also our Select Squads who compete at home and aboard at tournaments.
“Our Summer Programming is immensely popular and elements like our International Tours and Residential Camps are for invited players only.
“By qualifying in the Spring it allows our coaches and Regional Directors more time to work with, and properly asses, individual players.
April Tryouts
NCE Soccer will host Spring tryouts in April at 14 venues across the New York, New England and North Atlantic regions.
They include a fantastic new venue, The Fields in East Brunswick, New Jersey, for players in the North Atlantic region.
The Fields is a fantastic indoor facility which hosts EDP leagues and tournaments working with hundreds of talented players.
Elsewhere NCE Soccer return to St Joseph’s College in East Patchogue in New York and Dillon Stadium, home to Hartford Athletic in Hartford, Connecticut.
International Tours
“This is going to be our biggest and best year of programming to date with more international tours than ever and a summer tournament with international teams flying in to participate,” added Coach Curtis.
“We have just returned from a hugely successful Pro Player Pathway Tour to England and will be flying out to Italy in April for the Milano Football Festival
“Then in the Summer we are flying seven squads to England for the Pro Academy Tour taking on some of the best teams in the UK including Manchester United, Wolves, Arsenal and Aston Villa.
“Two girls teams will to Sweden to compete in the Gothia Cup in July and we have our Residential Camps, College ID Camps and Showcase events so it’s going to be busy!
“This season has already been a terrific success but we want to push on and raise our standards further.”
NCE Soccer has recently refreshed its website to showcase the full extent of our programming.
