NCE Physical Tests
Speed tests are typically used solely to measure an athlete’s linear speed capabilities. More specifically, the 10-metre (m) sprint test is used to measure acceleration.
The 505 Agility Test measures how quickly a player can change direction in the horizontal plane. Changing direction quickly is an important physical quality for soccer players.
The countermovement jump is a simple, practical, valid, and very reliable measure of lower-body power.
Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery 1 Test (YYIR1)
The YYIR tests are a simple method for examining an athlete’s capacity to perform repetitive high-intensity aerobic exercise. The YYIR1 is designed for young or recreational athletes who possess lower aerobic capacity.
