The Premier League giants have now confirmed they will be competing for the Specialist Trophy in Oakham this August.

United will enter a 2007 team for the prestigious tournament alongside English Football League teams, international opponents and the Independent Schools Football Association.

It will provide NCE Soccer’s select squad will a fitting climax to their England tour as they get to test themselves against the best.

But it won’t be their only opportunity to take on United.

Manchester United

NCE Soccer Technical Director, John Curtis, said: “The England tour provides our boys with the opportunity to take on Manchester United at their academy and it’s a real highlight for the players.

“We are able to provide a behind the scenes tour, we visit the museum, the Red Cafe and the stadium but, most importantly, we will train and play at the Manchester United Academy.

“This year it is a terrific boost to learn that we also face United in a real competition as they have confirmed their attendance at the Specialist Trophy.

“The tournament has real quality, with teams from around the world training and then competing at Oakham School and it provides us with real focus now for the summer.”

England Tour

Players who excel during the NCE Soccer COE Program are selected to take part in NCE Soccer’s international tours.

We travel with a girls team to compete in the Gothia Cup in Sweden, the girls World Cup, a boys team to tour England and we also usually fly to Italy to compete in the Milano Football Festival.

NCE Soccer will travel with four teams made up of 64 players for the England tour this summer.

Players fly out of New York on Sunday 25th July arriving in London Heathrow, before being transported to Oakham School and their fantastic facilities. Training will be held later that day.

Manchester United Academy coaches host training at Oakham School followed by matches against Mansfield Town on Wednesday July 28th, before training with NCE Soccer staff and matches with Peterborough United and Port Vale the following day.

The NCE Soccer squad travel to Manchester on Friday July 30 to play against Manchester United at their Academy. Following the games the players will have lunch at the Red Cafe before a behind the scenes tour at Manchester United and visit to the famous United Museum.
