Youngsters in Connecticut and New Jersey are being invited to take their first steps into soccer with the NCE Futures Program.

Futures has been created specifically to help boys and girls aged four-to-eight-years enjoy their first taste of the beautiful game.

The program aims to inspire a love for the beautiful game by teaching fundamental techniques and principles, in a fun low pressure environment.

NCE will host two eight-week programs at Superdome Sports in Waldwick, New Jersey and at InSports in Trumbull Connecticut this Spring.

“We want young players to develop a love for the game, nothing else matters for the youngest players,” explained NCE Soccer Technical Director John Curtis.

Fun, Energetic, Focused

“If young players enjoy what they are doing they will become far more receptive to learning.

“The sessions will be fun, energetic, technically focused but most importantly they will be enjoyable.

“The youngsters will all work with their own ball, there will be mixture of drills, small sided games and free play.

“The crucial element is striking the balance between the technical work, the repetitive actions required to improve technique and having fun.

“We hope the program will inspire the players and kick start their soccer careers, whether that is having a kickabout with friends or rising to become professionals, in the very best possible way.”

Soccer Coaching

NCE Soccer has been providing a variety of supplementary soccer coaching programming across the New York, New England and North Atlantic regions for the past six years.

The Programming has helped hundreds of junior players maximize their potential and go onto to secure places at leading Universities and Colleges.

For the very best players, NCE Soccer has been able to introduce them to professional soccer in the MLS and with international teams.

“We have established the NCE Soccer Program as a proven pathway for elite young players to elite Colleges and professional clubs and that remains the pinnacle,” coach Curtis added.

“But for the very youngest players none of that matters at this stage, the Futures Program is about enjoying soccer, falling in love with this magnificent game.

Enjoyment

“What could be better for young players but to get out and about on a Saturday morning, enjoying sports with friends and having fun.

“And if the players are enjoying it, but being taught correctly from the start, then they are more likely to continue their soccer journey.

“As players get older and go further the programming gets more serious but for now, this is about enjoyment.”

NCE Soccer Futures is an eight-week program with each session running for 60 minutes.

Typically sessions include ball each warm-ups, conditioned small sided games, technical exercise, free play, ball mastery, ball manipulation and much more.
