TOP College and University coaches will be scouting players at NCE Soccer’s Winter Invitational this weekend.

Coaches and Scouts from 12 Universities willl be watching players at our boys and girls showcase event this Saturday at Superdome Sports.

Representatives from Felician University, Long Island University, St Peters, Drew University and Wesleyan are amongst those to have confirmed their attendance.

Centenary, William Patterson, Mount Saint Vincent, Albert Magnus, Saint Elizabeth University, NJCU and West Conn complete the line-up.

They will watch players and also be available to talk to families in between games.

College Process

NCE Soccer’s own College team will also deliver a presentation for players and parents and be on hand to offer support and guidance.

“It’s a great opportunity for our players as they begin to consider the College process,” explained NCE Soccer Director of Operations Nick Dunbar.

“We know how confusing and complicated the college process can be with so many choices and opportunities.

“Our links with leading Universities and Colleges provide our families with a unique insight and opportunities.

“The Universities know the quality and calibre of players within the NCE Soccer system and they know the Winter Invitational and our other events showcase the abilities of our top players.”

Free College Seminar

As well as the University coaches and scouts, NCE Soccer’s own College ID team will deliver a Seminar for parents and players at 18:00-18:45.

College Coordinator Evan Brandsdorfer and College Admissions Counsellor Pat Doyle will lead the seminar and spend time talking NCE Soccer families through the process.

Anyone wishing to attend this free event should report to the classroom behind reception at Superdome Sports.

“Pat Doyle is hugely experienced and has helped thousands of aspiring soccer players navigate the college process,” Nick added.

“He has worked with NCE Soccer for a number of years now, helping parents with webinars and general advice as they pick a path through the 4,000 colleges and university in the USA.

“Evan Brandsdorfer is our College Coordinator and Coach and is incredibly well connected to the college process. He is head coach at Sarah Lawrence College and has previously worked as an assistant at Saint Peter’s University, NJIT and Drew University.

“He works with individual players and their parents on the collegiate recruitment process and provides incredible insight.”

NCE Select Squads

The Winter Invitational is a huge event. It involves almost 500 players selected from within the NCE Soccer COE Program selected to form four NCE Select Squads.

Four Select Squads will compete across six age groups in both boys and girls during an intense day of competition at Superdome Sports from 9am until 9pm on Saturday December 18th, 2021.

The New England Select squad is made up of the best players from our Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire venues.

Players from Nassau County and Suffolk County will combine to represent Long Island Select while players from New York City, Westchester County and Hudson Valley will unite to form New York Select.

The North Atlantic Select squad will include players from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Each team will play four 25 minute games in a seven-versus-seven format in 12 age appropriate tournaments.
