GurAman Kohli proudly shows off his signed Fulham Football Club shirt for stand out performances at last summers Fulham Pro Camp – this year top players will be invited to train with the Premier League club and South American giants Fluminense.

NCE Soccer will invite players with the most potential at our week long Fulham and Fluminense Pro Club Camps to visit the respective clubs for an experience week living life as a Academy Player.

Coaches from the respective clubs will run 11 Pro Club Camps this summer for Boys and Girls born 2005 – 2016 at venues in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California.

The three-hour age appropriate soccer camps run over five days and follow the coaching principals of the respective clubs with coaches on the look-out for players with potential.

Last year 13-year-old GurAman was rewarded for his stand out performances in New Jersey and was presented with a signed Fulham jersey – and he believes the results of the coaching were instant.

“I enjoyed the camp, it was fun, and we played and practiced many aspects of the game,” GurAman explained.

“One of the best things about the camp was that everything was competitive, even the simple passing drills that helped us get power and accuracy on our passes using different techniques.

“We worked on playing in tight spaces trying to keep possession, our team won the majority of the rounds, and I was happy to get praise from the coaches after I made key passes. This helped build confidence in me.”

The teenage from Morris County played at West Morris Soccer Club last season before switching to STA Mount Olive this year.

He has also been selected for the NJ ODP and joined NCE Soccer to further develop his game, and to maximize his potential.

GurAman wrote to Fulham coaches Mark and Josh to thank them for their efforts and to share his excitement at being selected for the New Jersey State team.

He wrote: “Hello Coach Mark and Coach Josh, I really enjoyed the camp, it was fun, and I got a chance to try new things.

“All of the drills and things that we did were high intensity, and also they helped improve our technical ability and how we could control the ball and do something with it quickly. One thing that you helped me improve on was making runs when attacking, also arcing your run to close down your opposition.

“I enjoyed the drills where we attacked at speed and had to either beat a defender or find the target, a pass, or the goal. Another thing that I liked was that all of the things that we did were competitive. This helped us all because we all wanted to win and we tried even harder to be better than the person before us.

“I thought that after we played a fast-paced game or after we had an intense drill, the following exercise was calmer but still competitive. I had fun working on receiving the ball in tight spaces and under pressure.

“This weekend we had New Jersey State Team tryouts, and I used some of the things you had shown me. Like arcing or curving your run to block a pass when I was pressing, I scored a goal by winning the ball from the goalkeeper doing this. Another thing that I did was receiving the ball in tight spaces and playing the ball wide.”

Fulham Football Club launched the a search for US Soccer talent in partnership with NCE Soccer and ProCamps UK this summer.

They hope to unearth find young players with potential who may have the opportunity to go onto and train and possibly have a career at Craven Cottage.

The partnership with NCE Soccer will see Summer Day Camps hosted across the US going forward with opportunities in New York, Southern California, New Jersey, New England and beyond.

GurAman attended the first of these Summer Camps and has no doubt he will be returning – especially having been selected as Player of the Camp.

He said: “I was selected for the Fulham Jersey on the last day of the camp, both Coach Mark and Josh brought the group together, and they said they had been watching all of the players at the camp during the week.

“They had looked for a player with special qualities: Decision making, technical ability, creating chances, coachability, and willingness to learn.  They announced that I had been selected as Player of the Camp and would receive a signed Fulham Jersey!  I was very excited!

“I would definitely recommend the Camps. It was high-intensity and competitive. Many of the things that we worked on were decision-making, technical ability, working in tight spaces under pressure, and keeping possession of the ball. We also practiced using different passing techniques and applying finishes to plays.

“Coach Mark and Coach Josh clearly explained the drills and gave individual advice on how each player could improve the way they play.  They pushed us to play to the best of our abilities and helped us practice our weaknesses.

“They gave this advice: keep working hard, keep practicing, and working on all of your weaknesses to improve and get to the next level.

“One of the best things about the camp was that everything was competitive, even the simple passing drills that helped us get power and accuracy on our passes using different techniques. We worked on playing in tight spaces trying to keep possession, our team won the majority of the rounds, and I was happy to get praise from the coaches after I made key passes. This helped build confidence in me.”
