Scott Middlemass
Scott Middlemass serves as the North Atlantic Regional Director for NCE Soccer, bringing more than 15 years of professional playing experience across four countries — England, Norway, the United States, and China — into the NCE high-performance environment.
Scott’s playing career exposed him to a wide range of footballing cultures, tactical systems, and competitive demands. Competing professionally across Europe, North America, and Asia gave him firsthand insight into how the game is taught, managed, and executed at different levels. That global experience now shapes the standards he brings to every NCE training session.
As a coach, Scott blends his professional background with extensive youth development experience, creating sessions that reflect the realities of the modern game. His work emphasizes positional intelligence, defensive organization, decision-making under pressure, and understanding moments beyond the ball. Players are challenged not only to execute technically, but to read the game, anticipate scenarios, and communicate effectively within a team structure.
At NCE, Scott contributes to maintaining the high coaching standards that define the organization’s Pro Pathway model. He believes in creating demanding training environments where accountability, discipline, and resilience are expected — but where players are also supported, mentored, and guided through their development journey.
His coaching philosophy aligns closely with NCE’s broader mission: helping players maximize their potential by prioritizing growth over short-term results. Through his leadership, athletes experience structured, game-realistic training designed to prepare them not only for their next match, but for the next level of their careers.
