FIFTEEN NCE Soccer prospects will be fired up for the Penn Fusion Girls Winter Showcase this Presidents Weekend.
The girls will compete in the Under 18s team event in the hope of attracting interest from a premier college.
Penn Fusion Winter Showcase is regarded as the premier college recruitment event with around 120 college coaches in attendance.
The ‘invite-only’ event sees eight teams in each age group compete in a ‘best-of-the-best’ mini-tournament.
Collegiate coaches from the nation’s top NCAA Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 programs will be scouring the event at Downington, Pennslyvania.
NCE Soccer COE Director Alan O’Keefe will lead the girls from NCE Soccer’s College ID program into action.
He said: “This is a great opportunity for the girls to show college coaches how good they really are.
“This will be big test and the girls will get tested to their limits this weekend. but I’m certainly looking forward to the experience of being at this event and working with a fantastic group of players.
“It’s our hope that all players in any of the NCE programs get suitable challenged and I have no doubt this weekend will be a great experience for both the players and parents in our College ID program, as they continue navigate their way through the College recruitment process.
“We have a squad of 15 girls for this weekend and although many will be playing against girls three-years-older we know they will give a great account of themselves and this will be terrific experience.”
NCE Soccer will compete in the Women’s Under 18 White Showcase in Bracket B.
