Brad Friedel will host a residential camp for NCE Soccer COE goalkeepers.
The greatest goalkeeper US Soccer has ever produced will personally coach shot-stoppers from our Centre of Excellence program at our exclusive residential camp in Pennsylvania this July.
Brad will join forces with goalkeeper coaching Lee Broster for two five day camps at DeSales University providing personalized coaching for a limited number of COE ‘keepers.
The goalkeeping camps will run alongside outfield camps and have been created to help maximize the potential of young keepers within the NCE Soccer program.
Brad, said: “I want to see what the best NCE keepers have got, and help them to get even better.
“The camps will give me the opportunity to spend time on the training field with our talented young keepers and look to work on the skills and pass on my knowledge.
“I am told the residential camps are a great success and the facilities at DeSales University are first class with three grass fields, two turf and even three Fustal courts.
“The camp includes 20 hours of elite technical, tactical, physical and psychological training and provide us with a unique opportunity to work closely with individuals.
“I’ve met some of the young boys and girls at NCE Soccer and I can’t wait to get to work with those that come to the residential camp.”
Brad will be coaching COE goalkeepers across the NCE Soccer region once the Spring program kicks-off.
Goalkeepers interested in joining the COE program are invited now to register for try-outs via this link.
Successful candidates will be selected to join the Spring coaching program and the opportunity to apply for Brad’s summer residential camp.
Friedel, veteran of three FIFA World Cups, the Premier League record holder, former star of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers and Columbus Crew, can’t wait to get started.
“This is what it is all about, getting back out on there on the training ground and giving this youngsters an opportunity to live the pros life,” he added.
“The camps are based along the type of pre-season camps we endured as professionals, away from our families, camped down with our team-mates and coaches to concentrate on the job in hand.
“I’m told by John and the other coaches there is plenty of fun at the camp too and I can’t wait to meet everyone.”
The residential camps include two training session every day, with games in the evening.
Three meals-a-day are provided and we can cater for food and dietary requirements.
The accommodation is first class with air-conditioned twin rooms. Pairs of rooms share an interconnecting bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilets.
Collegiate athletes operate as dorm councillors and the site is protected 24/7 by security whilst NCE Soccer staff remain present at all times.
