Twenty top Colleges and Universities are primed for the NCE Soccer’s final Winter Showcase this weekend.
Coaches from leading Division 1, 2, and 3 teams will be attending the event at Danbury Sports in Connecticut.
They include the likes of Fordham, UMass, and Syracuse and will provide NCE Soccer players with an unrivaled opportunity to showcase their skills and work with University coaches who will be seeking to recruit talented players.
NCE Soccer Regional Director Scott Middlemass explained: “The Winter Showcase Tournaments provide a fantastic opportunity for the best players across the NCE Soccer regions to come together.
“The three-match series provides a competitive environment for players to bring together the technical and tactical skills learned during the COE Program and test themselves in a pressured environment.
“It provides the College and University coaches with an opportunity to watch and observe players but also to work with them, getting a chance to learn about their playing ability but also gaining insight into their character and personality.
“The reputation of NCE Soccer and the quality of players we are producing is now firmly established and more and more Colleges and Universities are asking to attend as it provides a terrific opportunity for them to see lots of very high-quality players simultaneously.
“The feedback from the coaches has been really positive and it makes it all worthwhile for us as NCE Coaches as it shows we are getting doing our job by helping our players to maximize their opportunity as they go onto enjoy successful College careers.”
More than 400 NCE Soccer players will have participated in the Winter Invitational Series from across the NCE regions.
Players are selected to represent their region and battle it out over four intensive days of competitive action – all under the watchful eye of High School, College Coaches, and University Scouts.
The Invitational Series takes place in a single day with boys and girls competing against other NCE Soccer regions during 12 hours of competitive action.
Players are selected based on their performances within the COE Program and are the best players from within their region.
The tournament also allows players selected for our International Tours to play together and bond ahead of their respective trips to England, Italy, and Sweden for the Gothia World Cup.
NCE Soccer invites external teams to compete to add to the competitive environment and Danbury Sports provides plenty of great viewing opportunities for family and friends to watch the action.
