Since they were young, the impact of Eloise & Felix has always been felt on the pitch. Recently, the NCE Team sat down with the two’s father, Keith Rubinstein, to discuss what Eloise & Felix have been up to in their individual soccer careers.
The eldest, Felix, is wrapping up his senior year of high school and will begin his collegiate career in the fall at Middlebury College. Through his club and high school career, Felix received ECNL 2023/2024 First Team All-Conference honors in addition to being named All-County, All-State, and Conference AAA Offensive Player of the Year.
He committed this past summer after he impressed at an ID Camp in the area. At the time of the ID Camp last summer, Keith reached out to us and told us Felix thrived at the camp in part because of its focus on the small-sided nature. Keith told us that it reminded him of the training that Felix experienced in Winter Training with John as a child. Felix’s NCE Journey began when he was just in the 4th grade in our COE Training Program in the New York Metro.
Eloise, a current sophomore in high school, has already accomplished much in her time and looks to have a bright career ahead. Eloise was recently invited to train with NWSL side Gotham FC. Read More →
After an impressive performance at a showcase in New Jersey, she was selected for an initial three day event with the team. After another impressive showing, Eloise was invited to take part in an 11v11 scrimmage that resulted in a 0-0 draw. In addition to her recent involvement at Gotham FC, Eloise was invited to compete at the US U-15 WYNT Training Camp this past year. In the most recent Spring Top Drawer Soccer Rankings, Eloise secured a Top-10 Ranking among the Top 200 Girls in the Class of 2027.
It seems both members of the Rubinstein duo both have many exciting moments ahead in their still young soccer careers. Here’s what Felix and Eloise had to say about their experiences with NCE that has helped lead them to where they stand today.
Felix
“I started with NCE way back in 4th grade. At the time, I was just starting to shift my focus more towards soccer. NCE played a significant role in my development, as I believe it placed me in a different category of players in terms of quality on and off the ball as well as technical ability. I believe that as a soccer player, you develop faster by learning from those around you. NCE placed me in an environment where I was never the best player and had phenomenal coaches and trainers around me to help me improve. I was able to learn from everyone at NCE, setting me onto the path to becoming the player I am today.”
Eloise
“I started NCE when I was 8 years old. Being part of such a positive and competitive environment pushed me to work harder and understand the game on a deeper level. The trainings, games and people at NCE helped to develop my love for the game, giving me a chance to compete at a high level with amazing coaches and competitive players. The skills I learned and the experiences I gained continue to guide me as my soccer journey progresses.”
