It’s the holiday season and NCE Soccer has an early gift for young soccer players in California, New York and New Jersey – additional New Year tryouts!
Limited spots are available at four of our fifteen venues for players interested in joining our Center of Excellence Program this Winter.
We will host additional tryouts at each of these venues for players who were unable to attend our tryouts earlier this month.
For those joining in January, the Winter COE Program will be condensed to 10 weeks with a reduced price. However, participants will still have access to the complete array of NCE Soccer Programming.
That means players who are successfully selected at tryouts could be eligible for selection to our international tours, domestic residential camps, Summer camps, Showcase Tournaments and much, much more.
“We know December is a busy time and it’s not always possible for players to attend tryouts,” explained NCE Soccer founder John Curtis.
“Players must earn selection via tryouts to ensure we are able to manage and maintain the quality of players at NCE Soccer.
“Our COE program is unashamedly elitist to ensure a best with best training environment.
“We have to ensure they are all of a similar standard – and that standard is high – to successfully follow our coaching methods and maximize their opportunity.
NCE Soccer hosted tryouts for the Winter program at 15 venues across New York, New England, the North Atlantic and Southern California and the response has been overwhelming – with 11 at capacity.
The tryouts are open for boys and girls aged Under 9-to-Under-18 and those successfully selected will be added to our current training groups.
Hundreds of individual clubs are represented at tryouts with the program providing supplementary soccer coaching for outstanding young players.
Players who aren’t quite ready yet for COE will be invited to join our Technical Training Program, where they can hone their skills for future NCE tryouts.
“Its normally the players who fail to make the grade initially that come back and succeed in the future that really go on to be the best players. The character traits they learn early, help them deal with the struggles that only increase as the level rises.” John added.
“They have to have a certain ability but character traits like determination, desire and resilience are always far more important.
“We welcome players from all clubs, we remain completely neutral and free of some of the politics that exist in US Soccer and our only purpose is help those individuals to flourish.
“We have an exciting 2024 ahead of us with boys and girls Pro Pathway Tour to England in February, tours to Brazil, Italy, England and Sweden.
“Our Summer Residential Camps will be better than ever and we have a special announcement coming following the success of our Pro Pathway Camps.
“We look forward to welcoming new players to the NCE Soccer family in the New Year!”
Tryouts will be held in New York at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, on Friday January 5th and in New Jersey at The Field Sports Complex in East Brunswick on Monday January 8th.
Players in Southern California have two opportunities at Dignity Health Park in Carson, CA on Friday January 5th and at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday January 7th.
