NCE Soccer has super-strengthened its coaching team ahead of Spring tryouts.
Tryouts will begin this week providing emerging young soccer talent with the opportunity to join America’s leading supplementary youth soccer program.
And, ahead fresh for Spring, NCE Soccer is delighted to welcome a plethora of highly qualified fresh talent to its roster including multi-USSF ‘A’ and UEFA ‘A’ Licensed coaches, former MLS, USL, European, and South American professional coaches – and two current professional players.
Outstanding Coaching Team
“We are delighted to have added real quality to our already outstanding coaching team, ” explained NCE Soccer founder John Curtis.
“We strive for excellence and are always looking to improve our standards and raise the bar and we’ve added some fantastic additions ahead of our Spring programming.
“I’m excited to welcome Ridi and Miquel to our team. They are both terrific football coaches, they know the game inside out and have coached at the highest level and bring incredible depth and experience to our coaching team.”
Elite Youth Soccer Coaching Program
NCE Soccer is an elite supplementary young soccer coaching program created by former Manchester United professional John Curtis to help the very best young players to maximize their potential.
It mirrors the way top European Professional Academies develop their players, and runs to the same exacting standards with the focus on individual players.
That means the demand for the high-level coaching staff is crucial and NCE Soccer is continually seeking to bring quality talent into the team.
College Coach
UEFA A licensed coaches Ridi Dautri and Miquel Gasparin join NCE Soccer along with Fiona Walsh, the current Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Trinity College in Hartford.
She enjoyed a four-year stint playing goalkeeper for Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, breaking records for career shutouts, wins, and wins in a single season.
“I was invited to attend an NCE Soccer College ID Showcase and was immediately impressed by the professionalism, competitiveness, and coachability of the players across the board,” Fiona explained.
“These players had an attention to detail and curiosity for the game that I’ve seen lacking in many spaces.
“As I looked deeper into NCE Soccer and observed some training in East Windsor, I saw a staff of coaches committed to player-centred coaching who held themselves to the same high standards and professionalism that they held their players to.
“I knew NCE Soccer would be a space where I could work alongside and learn from some great coaches from all over the map and helped develop high-level players who were determined to do what other young players in the States may not, to reach their potential.”
Two-Time Golden Glove Winner
New for Spring 2024, NCE Soccer welcomes two current professional players in four-time CPL Champion and two-time Golden Glove winner Triston Henry alongside Hartford Athletic right back Thomas Vancaeyezeele.
The pair are keen to develop their coaching skills and will join the New England team as and when their playing schedule allows.
Triston, said: “I’m looking forward to working with the talented players at NCE Soccer and the incredible team of coaches.
“I’m still very much focused on extending my professional playing career but I’m already thinking about my future career within the game. I would be delighted to give something back and help younger players with their development.
“I will coach as much as my playing schedule allows, looking forward to getting started.”
Hartford Athletic
Hartford Athletic professional player Thomas Vancaeyezeele joins the NCE Soccer squad in the New England region and will combine his pro soccer career with coaching duties in Connecticut.
He added: “I love how organized and structured NCE Soccer is, the training sessions are quality and I would love to do them as a player.
“The organization reminds me of the academy when I was in France.
“I will continue to play as a professional but I’m nearly 30 years old and so thinking about life after my playing career. I already have my C License and will add my B License soon.
“I’ve also just started my Masters Degree in Strategic Finance but I am going to try and coach as much as I can during the season as long as my schedule allows me to and can’t wait to work with the players in the Spring.”
NCE Soccer also welcomes Christian Valencia to the North Atlantic region where he will support Regional Director Scott Middlemass and Tiffancy Lucas.
Christian is originally from Mexico but has coached in the North Atlantic region for several years, working as Head Coach at Lower Cape May Regional High School following a playing career with the likes of Cape Express, Pittsgrove, Reading United, and college soccer with Stockton.
The new coaches will kick off the tryouts season at 18 venues across all NCE Soccer regions this Spring.
