NCE Soccer has released the first dates for their Spring Centre of Excellence Try-Outs.
Registrations are now open for two specialist goalkeeper try-outs and five outfield trials.
The try-outs will be hosted at five different venues across two regions – and further dates will be revealed soon.
NCE Soccer coaches use the try-outs to run the rule over youngsters hoping to be selected for the prestigious Centre of Excellence program.
NCE Founder, John Curtis, explained: “The Spring try-outs give us the opportunity to select players for our Spring program.
“The try-outs are held over a 90 minute period and take the format of lots of small-sided games, so maybe 4-v-4 or 5-v-5, depending on final numbers.
“We prefer to watch players in games so we can see the total package, rather than players who may be better at a particular skill.
“We look for technically proficient players who show a strong work ethic and a good attitude.
“Our coaches look for potential rather than current ability and technical proficiency allied with strong character traits are a good indicator of future development.
“Our standards are very high. We want to work with the very best talent and we look forward to welcoming the successful boys and girls to our NCE team.”
NCE Soccer will host try-outs across all regions and the full set of dates will be available via the Spring try-out page on our website. Trialists will be informed about exact timings nearer to the dates of the try-outs.
