Winter is coming and that means the launch of NCE Soccer’s Winter Program.

We will be hosting tryouts for the Centre of Excellence Program at 13 venues across the New York Metro, New England and North Atlantic Regions.

Tryouts will begin on December 4th and run through until the 16th of December at a variety of venues for both outfield and goalkeeping COE programs.

The COE tryouts are for players aged between 8 and 18-years-of-age and the standard this year is higher than ever.

Applications to tryout can be made via the Family Portal where you will be given a choice of venues closest to your home.

Some players will be preselected and they will be notified but everyone else must pass the tryout process before the programming begins in December and runs through until March.

Winter Programming

NCE Director of Operations Mikaela Howell, said: “We are delighted to be able to focus ahead on our Winter programming and to secure thirteen quality venues.

“We are also expanding our age groups this season to include the U9’s at the younger end and U18’s at the older.”

“We will, of course, be embracing our Covid-19 protocols to ensure everyone stays safe and we are working closely with each venue.

“As usual, some players will be preselected for the Winter program but anyone can tryout to earn a place.

High Standards

“Our standards are unashamedly high and we are delighted to see, that with every program, that quality improves and that means we have to turn some away.

“We saw with our Fall Program that we may have two players from the same family and one makes it, the other doesn’t.

“What impresses me though, is those players who don’t make the cut go away and work harder and come back and try again.”

Winter outfield tryouts will begin in New England at Union Point in Weymouth on December 4th before switching to CFC Park in Bethany on December 6th.

Outfield and Goalkeeping tryouts will then be held at Sports World in East Windsor on December 9th.

XL Sports World in Cherry Hill will host the first North Atlantic tryouts on December 4th, followed by Total Turf in Pitman on December 6th.

NCE Soccer will host tryouts at Metuchen Sportsplex in Metuchen on December 9th.

Outfield tryouts in the New York Metro area will begin at KK Athletics in Farmingville on December 4th and at Ophir Field in Purchase on the same day.

Tryouts will continue until December 16th in the New York Metro area across seven venues.

NCE Soccer will host four goalkeeping tryouts in the New York Metro area this winter at Ophir Field, Coleman Country Day, Superdome Sports in Waldwick and Socceroof in Brooklyn.
