NCE Soccer Girls will take on Aston Villa, Manchester United and Arsenal next summer.

The three Super League giants have confirmed they will send teams to compete in Specialist Trophy in England.

And they will be joined by fellow Super League teams Birmingham City Women and Brighton & Hove Albion Women.

Sunderland, Oxford United and Northern Ireland complete the line-up for the Specialist Trophy next August.

It means our NCE Soccer Select Squad will be taking on some of the worlds best young players in the tournament at Oakham School.

Opportunity

NCE Soccer Operations Director Nick Dunbar, said: “We knew there would be a strong line-up but now the teams are confirmed and that is exciting news for the girls.

“It provides our players with a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against the very best.

“We know how good our players are but this is top class opposition and will be a terrific tournament.

“This is the first time we have taken girls teams to compete for the Specialist Trophy but we think it will be a great experience.

“It also gives our players that extra incentive to perform during the COE Programming knowing they could be selected for the tour.

“We are taking two squads of players so there is real competition for places. The hard work starts right now.”

Pro Academy Tour

NCE Soccer’s Pro Academy Tour will be made up of our best 34 players chosen from the COE Program.

Eighteen players will be selected in the 2008 squad and 16 players chosen for the 2010 squad to travel to England.

They will fly out from New York on August 7th arriving in London Heathrow the following morning before travelling to their base at Oakham.

Our players will train with professional coaches from a Premier League Academy at Oakham School

The squad will then watch a live professional game in the evening before enjoying a second day training with Premier League coaches the following day, and watching a second live game.

Tournament

“It’s a terrific opportunity to work with top Premier League coaches and the facilities are fantastic,” Nick added.

“The girls will live and breath soccer for seven days, and the coaching sessions all lead up nicely to the tournament. It will be a fantastic week.”

The three day Specialist Trophy kicks off on Friday August 12th at Oakham School before the girls teams return to New York on Monday August 15th.

Supporters will be welcome to fly with the NCE Soccer Select Squad and NCE Soccer has arranged a package for those interested.

They will stay close to Oakham School in a charming quintessentially British village steeped in history and tradition.
