Johan Escalante serves as the Florida Regional Director for NCE Soccer, bringing professional-level experience and a specialized background in goalkeeper development to the NCE environment. He currently works as a professional goalkeeper coach for Orlando City B in MLS Next Pro, where he operates within a high-performance setting focused on elite standards and player progression.
Born in Queens and raised in Orlando, Johan’s journey in the game began in Central Florida before continuing at the collegiate level. He played at Goshen College, where he earned a degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology. His academic background complements his coaching, providing a strong understanding of physical development alongside technical and tactical training.
With over 10 years of experience in youth soccer, Johan has worked across multiple clubs as a Goalkeeper Director, focusing on recruitment, development structure, and long-term player progression. His experience spans from grassroots environments to elite academy levels, including work within MLS NEXT Pro systems, giving him a complete perspective on the demands placed on modern players.
Johan’s coaching philosophy is centered on delivering professional training standards within a player-focused environment. His sessions emphasize game-realistic scenarios, positional awareness, decision-making under pressure, and consistent technical execution. As a specialist in goalkeeper development, he is particularly focused on building confident, intelligent players capable of organizing, communicating, and performing under the demands of competitive match play.
