Hugo Guzman

Hugo Guzman serves as the New York Regional Director for NCE Soccer, where he oversees player development, regional programming, and coaching standards throughout the New York Metro area. With more than 15 years of experience in elite youth environments — including professional academy settings and high-performance training programs — Hugo brings a deep understanding of long-term player development and the demands of the modern game.

Throughout his career, Hugo has worked extensively in talent identification and high-level youth coaching, helping players navigate critical stages of their development pathway. His experience includes working within MLS academy environments and competitive club structures across the United States, where he has built a reputation for thoughtful, detail-oriented coaching and a clear developmental philosophy.

At NCE, Hugo plays a key role in shaping the training identity of the region. His sessions are built around cognitive challenge, positional understanding, and ball-dominant environments that encourage intelligent decision-making. He believes in developing adaptable players who can think the game, solve problems under pressure, and transition successfully to higher levels of competition.

Hugo holds both the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) Academy Director License and the USSF A License, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest coaching standards. Beyond his formal credentials, he is widely respected for his leadership, mentorship of young coaches, and ability to create demanding yet supportive environments where players are pushed to grow both technically and personally.

His work with NCE aligns with the organization’s broader mission: prioritizing individual development within a structured, high-performance framework. Through his leadership, players in the New York region experience an environment designed not just to help them compete today, but to prepare them for meaningful opportunities at the collegiate, professional, and international levels.
