Brian Wright
Brian Wright serves as the Southern California Regional Director for NCE Soccer, where he leads coaching and player development efforts across the region and ensures training standards align with NCE’s long-term development philosophy.
Brian earned a scholarship to San Jose State University, where he competed at a high level of college soccer and developed a deep appreciation for technical mastery and tactical understanding on the field. During his youth career, he also competed in elite tournaments in Europe, gaining exposure to a variety of football cultures and training methods that continue to influence his coaching approach.
After college, Brian continued his playing path by training with professional environments, including a stint with the LA Galaxy reserve team and competitive play in USL League One, experiences that strengthened his understanding of the demands of the professional game and enriched his ability to relate on the developmental needs of aspiring players.
Transitioning into coaching, Brian spent several years developing collegiate athletes as an assistant coach at Caltech and then at Occidental College, where he worked closely with student-athletes to refine their tactical awareness, competitive mindset, and technical precision. His background in NCAA soccer provides him with a unique perspective on preparing players for advanced competition and collegiate recruitment. He completed his master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine. He currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation A-Senior Coaching License.
At NCE Soccer, Brian fosters environments where players are challenged to think intelligently about the game, build confidence in their execution, and embrace growth with purpose. His sessions focus on game-realistic scenarios that blend technical demands with decision-making under pressure, helping athletes strengthen both skill and soccer IQ.
Brian’s leadership in Southern California contributes to NCE’s mission to develop well-rounded, resilient players capable of progressing through each stage of the NCE Player Pathway toward collegiate opportunities and professional ambitions.
